Our next meeting is tomorrow at the Wilmot Arms next Tuesday. I’m delighted to tell you that we have a real canal based meeting this month and have attracted Dave Thomas of Canal and River Trust to talk to us about the other boat lift – The Anderton Lift. As you’ll appreciate it is a bit of a trek from Anderton and it would be good to show support for the evening.
The next working parties will be at Draycott on 28th Feb and we will be starting preparation work at Sandiacre on 13th March relocating the fence alongside bottom lock. We have an increasing workload on the maintenance front and as we get further with restoration this will increase. Please make contact if you can give us a few hours in any capacity.
The Packet has now been despatched to those who have not asked for it electronically. The electronic version will be sent out this weekend so you should all have a pretty good understanding of the opportunities and challenges ahead of us.
