The Canal Society once again commenced our working parties for the year in early January. Our aim this winter is to lay as much of the remaining hedge at Draycott prior to the birds starting to nest once again, only a small amount of 450 meters, we are hoping to get this done over two years.
The first working party was a typical cold and wet Sunday, we at least managed to work until midday before the rain set in, clearing all the bramble for the cutting teams to get through.
Our second working party of the month saw us out in force, once again numbers are increasing and this means that we will be able to send two separate teams to different sites in the coming months.
Working party dates and locations are published on our web page along with all social meetings and regular updates on our progress.
