The launch of our “Working Wednesdays” was started on the 24th August, I was surprised, and also pleased, to see five smiling helpers turn out on a nice day.
A lot of work is now producing evidence of the former canal lock bottom and the surrounding area. The brickwork on the base of the lock is looking in very good order and we are progressing towards the Station Road end at a steady pace.
Work is planned to continue on every other Wednesday with dates being set for 07/09,21/09 and 05/10 so far.
