Work has started on the proposed dig out of the lock at Sandiacre. Last week saw a small team in attendance to identify the location of the top stones.
More work is to be completed this week with the soil samples being taken at various depths.
Once again we benefited from talking to the local residents and one gentleman was very helpful with his own personal memories regarding work done in the past by the water companies.
