Well, it has happened. The Government have decided that we need a second full lockdown to try and slow down the spread of the Covid virus.

The Trust Directors have taken the following decisions:

  • As, when we went into Tier 2 restrictions, all our Gardening working parties will continue to be cancelled, until sometime in December. The restrictions of only 2 people from different households meeting outside, staying home and not making unnecessary travel make our Gardening Working Parties difficult to run.
  • The Government have stated that construction sites and factories can remain open. We have therefore decided that work can continue at the cottages, by ensuring that only the current volunteers, who have created their own ‘bubble’ of 2 volunteers, and they follow the hand sanitizing, masks and space between each other. This is to ensure that the cottages progress and that they are ready for contractors to return to finish their work. If you are not part of the current team, do not come to site.
  • The various committees will continue to be held electronically.

This short break will, hopefully, ensure that we can have some sort of normal Christmas.
