Commemorative Bench for Eddy Case
We are delighted to have installed a commemorative bench in recognition of the work that past Society Chairman Eddy Case did for the organisation before his untimely death last year. The bench was funded by his friends and installed by the Trust The picture shows many of his friends who came to celebrate the new fixture on the Draycott Golden Mile stretch of canal.
Pirates of the river Derwent
Our River boat has been used by Furthest from the Sea actors and musicians to mount an exciting Pirate themed trip on the Derwent. Whilst we crewed the boat their actors and passengers were subjected to a unique theatrical experience. Phoenix Green was alive with activity, with music and food available by the Boat boarding Station.
