The WRGgies are coming! July 2018
At the end of July 2018, a team from the Inland Waterways Association’s Waterways Recovery Group (“The WRGgies”) are coming to the Derby Canal to help us put back the large stones to the top gates and ground paddle area, and the coping stones to the already rebuilt lower wing walls of Borrowash Bottom lock.
This will be a full weeks canal camp for up to 18 IWA volunteers.
This recognition of their support to our canal restoration will give our project national publicity and hopefully give a further boost to the full restoration of the canal.
