DSCT – News in May
We were pleased that we were able to train up a team of digger and dumper truck drivers ready for future works. Our thanks go to WRG who provided the trainers and to David Savidge for the organisation. We are now ready for the smaller scale projects that we can handle ourselves with hired in plant.
We attended Breaston Gala on May 1st and had a brilliant day. We took both pop-up marquees and updated information boards and generated a great deal of interest. It was a well supported event – just like days pre Covid. Great interest was shown in the Riverboat and Café developments, especially as this was news to the locals as we hadn’t been able to attend a Gala for a few years.
We now have a few outdoor events coming in quick succession and whilst the normal people have already volunteered we’d like to invite any member to come and join the team and share the camaraderie. No particular skills required except an ability to talk and be enthusiastic!
