DESCRIPTION:Support the Derby & Sandiacre Trust Working Parties!\nWe’re trying a different working parties calendar format to what we’ve done in the past. We found that due to weather conditions\, changes of availability (or just bad luck!)  we had to change some of our working parties\, and the website calendar struggled to keep up – plus\, there was not an effective way of keeping everyone updated. \nThe Calendar entry is now generic and contains useful information that covers the potential activities being performed (see below). \nIf you want to know what’s specifically happening each week – email info@derbycanal.org.uk and get added to our working party mailing list!\nThis will be the best way to keep up to speed with any changes in planning due to weather or other circumstances. \n  \nGeneral Information\nActivities are typically started at 9.30am and run to around 1pm (about the time when volunteers fancy a trip to the pub typically!) \nThe activities on offer vary regularly and based on the season; but in general could consistent of: \n\nHelping with Lock restoration (Sandiacre / Borrowash).\nHelping with Canal Cottages restoration (Draycott).\nClearing or maintaining vegetation (potentially including bonfires as appropriate).\nPlanting new trees or vegetation.\nOther activities related to the above at each location.\n\nContact: info@derbycanal.org.uk\nHS&E requirements:\nSturdy Boots and gloves are recommended for working outside\, as well as clothing sensible to the conditions. For Draycott\, as it’s an active building site it would be appreciated if you could bring any of your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that would be suitable; we do have some limited supplies.
