Our working party activity has progressed well. A large fanfare is due as we have now completed the hedgelaying at Draycott. Feel free to visit and admire it! The signs are back up and we are now completing some improvements to the fence along the underpass under Derby Road, which will be funded by the Parish Council. We are hoping to complete this at the next working party on 26th April. We will split the team on 26th with a larger group working at the Borrowash stretch so those interested please meet at Borrowash bottom lock – access from Mear Drive by Pollards Oaks (DE72 3QW) also at 9.30am.
This time please let me know by text on the mobile (07827 946444) as Eddy is taking a well earned holiday. We expect to clear up around the lock, reduce the cracked willow and generally tidy up, so bring wellies (just avoided another potential embarrassment by spell checker – I hope), gloves and loppers/shears if you have any.
